Pavel Mandrenko – Ukraine’s BEST CIO 2018 winner

Pavel Mandrenko, Head of IT, Agroprosperis Group, was announced the winner of BEST CIO 2018 contest in the Agriculture nomination. The jury has been recognizing Pavel as the best CIO in the Ukrainian agri sector for the third year in a row! The awards ceremony took place on February 27 in Kyiv.

The BEST CIO 2018 contest has been held since 2008 by the Computer Review publication. Traditionally, the winners are determined in two stages. During the first one, the following aspects are evaluated: the company’s IT infrastructure maturity, the effectiveness of the hardware and software solutions used and the IT management system quality. The finalists were determined by the method developed by the Computer Review experts based on the globally recognized Gartner and MIT models.

At the second stage, the personal CIO contribution was assessed. The BEST CIO 2018 jury includes top managers of partner companies, the contest winners of previous years, as well as domestic IT market experts.

“This year the award ceremony is held under the slogan ‘BEST CIO - Ready to Quantum Leap’. The current situation requires from CIOs a quantum leap not only in technology matters - and here we are witnessing radical changes and the emergence of a completely new array of technologies - but also in terms of interaction with business. And the main task of our project is to select the most visible and professional CIOs of Ukrainian companies”, said Mikhail Laptev, BEST CIO 2018 jury chairman and Computer Review Editor-in-Chief.
